We can recommend this picturesque Hotel very highly and really enjoyed our night there. Great ambience. Really lovely spot and the close Restaurant is friendly clean and good varied menu which is good value.
Great hotel in historic environment. Beautiful, clean, calm.
Since there are som many pilgrims staying at the hotel, and they get up at 126.96.36.199 to start walking you wish that the otel started to serve breakfast at those hours. Now breakfast is served when the pilgrims are kilometrers away from the hotel.
Amazing Hotel with modern interior located in old building. It was a surprise to find this gem in small Roncesvalles, worthy of 4stars!!! The town is small but packed with history and the hotel has everything you need. We hiked in the area and visited the Museum. There is not much around in term of shops so if you need anything extra, bring it with you. Excellent hotel, I would definitely stay there again.
This could be improved. Internet accessible only on ground floor. The bar is not stuffed and need to ask the front desk for service, this is awkward. Need to have full time evening server.
The relaxing environment in the hotel, the background music, the design of the rooms and all the hotel and the feeling of staying in another century. The breakfast was the best we have tasted on our trip.
My room was large, light, clean and functional. It was remarkably good value.
Breakfast was over-priced and involved queuing for hours to get a hot drink from the single automatic hot drinks machine. I had the misfortune to reach the breakfast room at the same time as a group of some 30 people and, in the end I gave up waiting!
Absolutely beautiful building, very tastefully restored in designer hotel style.Lovely historic seting, on the Pilgrim Route to Santiago. If the hotel had a gourmet restaurant it would be 100% perfect, but the adjacent restaurant is cheerful rather than elegant. Good bufet breakfast in the hotel itself. Prices are reasonable enough to be a useful stopover for pilgrims and other walkers.
A magnificent building, right next to the church. Good for an authentic but comfortable start to the camino.
The position The building It's history My bedroom The interior design
I'd have preferred a bath to a shower!
We stayed there for the Camino. Nicely decorated. Cosy rooms. Very friendly staff and great food. Good value for money!
Location near the Lindux valley and the old building complex, free wifi, reasonably priced restuarant within 100 metres of the hotel (part of the hotel), good breakfast.
Conversion of the building was rather modern in style with loss of some of the original charecter
Excellent in all ways
The staff in reception and in the restaurant were not friendly (unexpectedly so because generally I find the spanish very friendly and helpful). This was disappointing. However they did help me when asked.
Beautiful place to start the Camino de Saniago. Great big room for only 60 euro. Quiet. Firm bed. Good water pressure in the shower. Loved it.
I liked its staff, its location and its breakfast
It was a great location to start my Camino.
The hotel was great, however it caters to tour groups - who are not as concerned about early nights as visitors who are doing the Camino.
It was a lovely place to stay after waking 30km on the camino. A small spa or hot tub would make absolutely perfect.
The poor receptionist was extremely busy, checking people in, showing them their rooms, answering questions, and at the same time trying to do the bar serve coffee drinks etc. One other staff would make a huge difference. Lots of people sitting outside but no service, and opportunity missed.
